I know I'm a little late to the party (seriously, most people were probably blogging about the end of this lovely little shitstorm right when it happened), but I'm sure most Americans are semi-happy to hear that our government is no longer shut down. I can't say I'm happy about it, because for some reason that feels like saying Hitler is a good guy because he shot Hitler.
I had to Google, "funny Hitler" to find this.
But at least this incident is over now, and we can all go back to accusing each other's partisan leaders of being the aforementioned Hitler. Also, now I have to go back to using the official pronunciation for "Boehner," so it's a bittersweet victory.
Also, Science has been irreparably damaged. But no one cares. Because Science is wicked and bows to the will of Satan in that it teaches us not to believe in God. And according tthat's exactly what the devil wantso one Supreme Court Justice, that's exactly what the devil wants. He's gotten smarter since video cameras have been invented, you see.
I'm no religion hater (I actually have Pagan leanings, myself), but you've got to admit that it's pretty damn scary to hear a Supreme Court Justice say those things. Antonin Scalia also says that he believes the devil is a "real person," which I know probably isn't what he meant, but now I can't help but imagine the devil as a living human walking the Earth. He's probably dressed in a long black overcoat with a black cowboy hat and boots with silver spurs. I'll bet he only has one eye, and that he's wearing an eye patch over the gaping hole where the other used to be. There's a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He's got long brown hair tied back in a low ponytail and a five 'o clock shadow that would put Harrison ford to shame. Also, some sort of gun somewhere on his person, I guess. I don't know guns.
The devil can come visit me anytime he wants.
